Universal RV ladder works on almost any RV. Pivoting brackets and swivel hinges accommodate contoured roofs and sloped, curved, or angled walls. You can also trim the ladder legs so it'll fit a shorter RV or camper.

Your solar panels or AC is on the fritz on a hot day, and you need to quickly climb to the roof to look at them. Or perhaps there are leaves and branches on top and you want to brush them off before retracting the slide outs to head home. This exterior ladder attaches to the rear or side wall of your RV, camper, or motorhome, so you can safely access equipment on the roof for maintenance and cleaning. And because it's made of durable aluminum construction, it won't rust when it rains during a camping trip or snows when your RV is in storage during the off season.
First, choose which wall you want to install the assembled ladder. Traditionally, this ladder would mount on the back, but you can also mount it onto the side, especially if your RV has a rear awning. And for this ladder to be safe to climb, you'll need to install it onto the studs in the wall. If you're unsure where the studs are, use a stud finder (not included).
This ladder has a universal design because you're able to cut it to fit just about any RV or camper. Just measure the height of your RV to see how tall of a ladder you need. Then use a tube cutter or hacksaw (not included) to trim the ladder until it's a perfect fit.
Then the ladder bolts onto the roof and wall of your RV with the included mounting hardware. If the ladder isn't a direct replacement, or if your RV doesn't currently have a ladder, drilling will be required.
You can pivot the mounting brackets at the top of the ladder to ensure it sits flush with your RV roof, even if your roof is curved in the back or on the sides. This allows you to position the angle of the ladder so that it remains parallel to the back wall of the RV. If the roof is curved on the sides, trim the vertical section of the arm furthest away from the side of the RV, which will eliminate the difference in the slope between the arms of the ladder.
The included hinges connect the bottom and middle sections of the ladder. If you're installing this ladder onto a sloped or curved wall, these hinges give the ladder some flex around that wall. Once you've connected the ladder, tighten the hinges down.
Then position the 4 included standoffs (or ladder supports) along the ladder to help keep it secure to your RV when it's being climbed or when you're driving to the campsite. Drilling into the ladder is required to mount the standoffs. If you're installing the ladder onto a straight wall, the standoffs should be placed closer to the hinges to prevent flexing. And you can add additional standoffs (SPN-416 - sold separately) for even more stability.

I broke my ladder backing into my shed (rookie mistake). I started looking up new ones from the maker of my camper, but didnt have a lot of luck short of calling and asking. I thought, I'd just order this one, because It was cheaper, and I wouldn't be as mad at myself if it didnt fit. Well, I got it in, and the feature if how it coupled meshed so close to mine, I didnt have to remove the top part, which may have made the screws strip. It works flawlessly today as when I installed it a year ago! Thanks, E-trailer!

Just on a year ago I bought a new to me motor home. At that time it did not have a ladder and enquirers revealed that there was a 6 mounts wait time with a price tag over $1000.. So I acquired 2 ladder kits and some attachments and behold the result for about $300.
The ladder worked well. It was not a perfect fit for my camper but it works well and I am very satisfied.
The service was exceptional. The person I worked with(KIM) was very pleasant and very efficient. I cannot say enough about my experience thanks to KIM.
Ladder kit provided everything needed to install as it wasn’t a factory replacement. Sturdy built, we are very pleased with the quality of the hardware.
I was initially disappointed that etrailer did not have a black one when I ordered the ladder, so I had to take a unpainted one and paint it myself. This may have been a blessing because my paint looks excellent after a year! Overall, the ladder is fine, however, it’s a little shaky up by the roof mounts…they are not very robust….roof mounts need to be formed with a heavier gage aluminum.
Terrible why was I asked for all the RV info. And I get a universal ladder that didn't fit right and had to so end extra money firbit to work. Even more, I could have been offered replacement parts for the original ladder.which would have saved me more money.

Solved a problem that no one locally could. It took me a year to find this ladder for my 2000 RV 5th wheel. We bought our RV used last year. The original ladder was on it when we bought it, but the dealer removed the original before delivery to put on another customers RV that was complaining about theirs being broken. We didn't know for a few weeks and it has taken us since then to find this solution. You might want to advertise to RV dealers. (Rockport, TX)
This ladder appears to be quality material. Because it is made to fit a variety of RV's, it takes a little time to size and cut the 3 psc ladder. But once it is sized, seems pretty easy to mount on your RV. And I'll add that etrailer has more RV/trailer parts at a better price than other vendors. That's why I always come first to etrailer and usually find what I need. Great outlfit!

Works and looks great.
This ladder is not UNIVERSAL , brackets did not line up at all. Fortunately, I had it installed so they used brackets from existing ladder to retrofit.

Like I said, not universal. Has to adjust brackets to lineup. Otherwise very sturdy. Keep in mind will need help installing.
Superb assistance from the folks when I called with questions before I ordered. Ladder was shipped ahead of schedule. Arrived a day early.
Easy installation and was just the thing I needed to replace my broken ladder.

Ladder requires a couple hours to custom fit. Instructions are poor with very limited or no description of parts. Once installed, the ladder is reasonably secure.

After on year of use, this ladder has held up well and is quite study
The ladder was quite straightforward to install. I had to make some modifications to my RV to cover up the old holes and accept the new ladder. However it was my choice to improve my RV and not the ladder itself. I would recommend it.

My order was all about a new RV ladder. All I can say is lickity-split. The order went lickity-split, and it arrived lickity-split. If you want it now then with etrailer it is lickity-split.
I have a 2007 Monaco Diplomate. This ladder is narrower so it doesn't match the existing mounting holes which is a problem for me. I'm going to disassemble the one I purchased and use some parts to repair the original.
The universal ladder was exactly as advertised and arrived within days of ordering. It was easy to install and is great quality.
It went together nicely. Was able to splice two supports on support legs to make them longer. Just used longer bolts(screws).

it works great, we had a bad storm and blow off the top of our AC unit and the only way up was the ladder so we are very happy with it,
